À propos de Jorge

My Teaching Techniques & Methods
Communicative Approach: Focus on real conversation and practical usage from the very first lesson.
Task-Based Learning: Learn by doing through meaningful projects and real-life scenarios.
Personalized & Adaptive: Lessons tailored specifically to your goals, pace, and learning style.
Multisensory Tools: Engaging materials (visual, audio, interactive) to reinforce retention.
Confidence-First Mindset: A supportive environment where mistakes are valued as learning steps, ensuring you speak without fear.
Typical Lesson Flow (60 minutes)
Welcome & Warm-up (5-10 min): Casual conversation or quick review to activate prior knowledge and set a positive, relaxed tone.
Goal Setting (2-3 min): Clarify today's objective together (e.g., "By the end, you'll be able to confidently order food in English").
Core Practice (35-40 min): A balanced mix of speaking and writing tasks—role-plays, real-life simulations, guided writing, or interactive projects—always tailored to your level and goals.
Feedback & Correction (5-10 min): Constructive, confidence-building feedback focused on progress and clarity, not perfection.
Wrap-up & Next Steps (5 min): Quick summary, optional practice suggestions, and a preview of the next lesson.
Flexible Format: Lessons adapted seamlessly for online (interactive tools, shared docs) or in-person (dynamic materials, real-world practice) delivery.
What Makes My Teaching Unique
20+ Years of Educational Leadership: As a former school principal and language teacher, I bring deep pedagogical expertise and a proven track record of helping students succeed.
Dual-Language Insight: Teaching both English and Spanish allows me to anticipate common challenges and create powerful, cross-linguistic connections that accelerate learning.
Confidence-First Mentorship: I don't just teach language—I empower learners to find their voice, trust their progress, and enjoy the journey.
Cambridge Exam Specialist: Experienced in preparing students for official Cambridge English evaluations (A2 Key to C2 Proficiency), with focused strategies for speaking, writing, and exam confidence.
Strong Academic Foundation: Bachelor's degree in Applied Linguistics (English) + Cambridge C2 Proficiency certification—ensuring expert-level knowledge and methodology.
Teaching with Joy: I genuinely love what I do—and that positive energy is part of every lesson. Because when learning feels good, progress follows.
My Lessons Are Designed For:
Everyone is welcome: Teens, adults, and seniors—from absolute beginner (A1) to advanced (C2). No matter your age or starting point, you'll find a supportive space to grow.
Expats & residents in Switzerland: Tailored support for integration, daily life, professional communication, or academic needs in English-speaking contexts.
Cambridge exam candidates: Focused preparation for official evaluations (A2 Key to C2 Proficiency), with proven strategies for speaking, writing, and exam-day confidence.
Academic writing learners: Specialized guidance for essays, research papers, thesis support, and formal English writing skills.
Goal-driven & joy-seeking students: Whether you're learning for work, study, travel, or personal fulfillment—you'll find lessons that are structured, adaptive, and genuinely enjoyable.
