À propos de Denys
I am an incoming Mathematics PhD student at the University of California, Irvine. I hold a Bachelor's degree in System Analysis, and I will complete my Master's in Mathematics in May 2026.
My prior teaching experience covers high school math as well as university-level Linear Algebra, Probability Theory, and Real Analysis. I also participated in university-level competitive mathematics (Ukrainian maths olympiads and IMC), which, in particular, gave me a broader perspective on the usual textbook exercises to find a more suitable personalised explanation or solution.

My typical lesson involves discussing or recalling theoretical material and tackling several problems, usually prepared in advance or proposed by the student, while trying to put them into a bigger picture. Solving problems usually consists of discussing possible approaches together and then guiding the student step-by-step through one of the solutions, while accentuating common pitfalls. In my experience, this approach works well for both high school and university-level maths.

Bonjour,
