I have really enjoyed taking Luxembourgish classes with Mélissa. When I've taken other language courses in the past, I've always struggled to go beyond memorizing vocabulary and grammar, and to become comfortable speaking a new language in front of others. Mélissa has really done a great job of making me feel comfortable using the language during classes. She also gives great feedback and has suggestions of approaches I can take to practice between lessons. She is professional and knowledgeable while still being friendly and supportive. I think that regardless of your reasons for learning Luxembourgish, or what level you're starting at, you'll find Mélissa to be a great teacher.

My wife and I wanted to learn Luxembourgish to be able to understand, read and speak the language, especially with our neighbours. So, around 2 years ago, we started online lessons with Mélissa. I only knew a handful of Luxembourgish words Moien, Äddi, Merci, Owend, Jo! We are now on the A2.2 course and have started to practice our Luxembourgish skills in public!
Mélissa's teaching approach is very structured and her preparation for the course and for each class is meticulous, clear and professional. Mélissa has an in-depth knowledge of other languages, especially English, in a perfect English accent, enabling her to very effectively explain the origins, similarities and differences of Luxembourgish concepts, words and grammatical rules with other languages to reinforce the learning objectives and ensure we have fully understood.
Mélissa is a really interesting and lovely person. She is very patient, encouraging, stimulating and entertaining. We really look forward to our weekly session with her.
