À propos de Daniel (English)
TUTORING EXPERIENCE: more than 5 years, for secondary school and high school students, physics and maths, in presence and online.
I have always had really good interactions with my students. I am patient and friendly and I'm able to create a very pleasant and focused atmosphere.
ACADEMIC EXPERIENCE: I study physics at ETH Zurich. I was awarded in high school for the best grades of the institute and for the best physics Matura Work. I won the second prize at the National Contest of Swiss Youth and Science with my physics Matura work. I participated in several maths and physics study-weeks and competitions.
LANGUAGES: English, German, French, Italian
PERSONAL: I’m a very open-minded and friendly person. I conduct my lessons with seriousness and professionalism, but also with sympathy. You will never feel uncomfortable with me. I am patient and my only concern is that at the end of the day you understand everything, no matter how much time it takes... we all have our own rhythm!
In my free time I’m a very active person, I do a lot of sports and I’m a private pilot of small aircraft.

PHYSICS and MATHS lessons for SECONDARY SCHOOL and HIGH SCHOOL students.
In my opinion, any person can understand everything about mathematics and physics.
The important thing is that WE ALL HAVE DIFFERENT LEARNING TIMES AND SPEEDS.
As a tutor, I always adapt to the appropriate and personalised speed for each individual learner and proceed, step by step, to bring them ALL TO THE SAME FINAL KNOWLEDGE.
I generally divide my lessons into two parts:
THE FIRST PART IS THEORY, in which I read and go over theoretical notions and concepts together with you to create a good base of knowledge. In this phase, you can ask me questions endlessly until you really understand everything. If something is difficult to understand, I create concrete and specific examples to increase your understanding.
THE SECOND PART, having acquired the theory, is the practical part: THE EXERCISES. These are extremely important for practising and consolidating your theoretical knowledge. Initially I will help you solve the exercises and then gradually for each topic the aim is for you to be able to solve them more and more independently, with less help from me.
I am very good at understanding when a learner has actually understood the concepts or when there is a need to explain it 3, 4, 10 more times! I really don't care how many times I have to repeat an explanation. I personally only care about your final understanding.
Last but not least I am also very friendly and chill, don't expect from me to be a strict and stressing teacher. At the same time however, seriousness and professionalism will be central in our lessons.
