Professor Szemeredy is a rare educator who manages to be demanding, deeply compassionate, and entertaining at the same time. She tutored me when I was studying for my IB Psychology exams - which I ended up acing - and again when I needed an extra push for my Creative Writing Bachelors. She has a unique ability to adapt her expertise to any subject, her main focus being student growth. She doesn't follow a standard, 'by-the-book' teaching style, instead forcing you to think critically rather than just memorize. She is rigorous, but not in a cynical manner: she demands that you perform at your absolute best because she genuinely knows you are capable of it. Her personal investment meant a lot to me, not letting me settle for 'good enough.' If you want a teacher who will challenge you, inspire you, care about your path, while you're also laughing half the class, then look no further.

Viktoria was my Film supervisor during my MA studies at de Montfort University 2019-2021; her continued support, unfailing enthusiasm and help was of the utmost. Her warm encouragement, understanding and assistance during Lockdown aided me immeasureably in completing my deliverables. Viktoria's dedication to her metier is absolute, and she shares her knowledge and experience with a unique blend of charm, intelligence and kindness - making her invaluable as a mentor.
